Disposable Camera Project

Before I left for Ghana I stumbled upon this One article where an NGO gave 8 children disposable cameras to take photos of whatever they wanted. On my first trip to Ghana in 2011 I experimented with the idea of “seeing Ghana through the eyes of Ghanaians”, where I gave the students in my summer school class my camera for the day. They ran with the project and absolutely loved it. They asked for more cameras and more “assignments” on what to shoot.

I brought a few disposable camera on this 1 month trip to Ghana and had some of my kids take them for a day. Winston and Bean did the same project and some of the photos the kids took are here.

Part 2 coming soon!

This is what they captured. R1-01286-0004 R1-01289-0002 R1-01289-0012 R1-01286-0017 R1-01289-0015 R1-01294-013A R1-01289-0020 R1-01291-000A_0001 R1-01291-003A R1-01289-0006 R1-01291-005A R1-01291-007A R1-01291-019A R1-01294-017A R1-01289-0010
