"Tell me...what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?" #gobelove #africa #ghana #simplyloveT shirts have been restocked! I leave for Ghana in a month and we need to raise $5,000 to finish the next phase of construction of the Education Center. T shirts are only $15 until Sunday with free domestic shipping! BUY YOUR HOPE T SHIRT AT: together-we-are.com/donate [#ghana #africa #lightforchildren #togetherweare #purchasewithpurpose ]Nervous/excited/scared/pumped...a mix of everything...but above all else just extremely JOYFUL to pursue my passions and projects that make my heart sing. #ghana #africa #togetherweareShes clothed in strength & dignity and she laughs without fear of the future. Proverbs 31:25 [This is my little friend. She lives in Kumasi, Ghana and has had a pretty rough start to life. Shes a fighter though. She sure knows how to laugh (and dance) her way through the tough times. Shes my inspiration when Im feeling sad or down or just need a pick me up.] #ghana #kumasi #africa #togetherweare #littlewonders #thisisreallife #enjoyingthesmallthings #ABeautifulMessLetter from Deborah: "Rebecca, you are very beautiful and I love the way you smile to each and everyone in Ghana. I will never forget you and I will always miss your smile. We will be expecting you in June." Tears, so many tears. I love my sweet children beyond words. Could never explain my love for them. This is what makes my heart beat and my feet dance. This is what it feels to be alive, truly alive and living for a greater purpose. June 20th couldnt come fast enough. #lettersfromhome #ghana #africa #lightforchildren #togetherweare #westafricaJust recieved the best news EVER. As of today we OFFICIALLY have the Education Center land (that weve been building on for 5 months) in our names!!!! This means nobody can take it away from us and nobody can claim ownership over it except us. Weve been waiting on this piece of paper, and now everything is official! Happy dance, happy dance in celebration! Amazing things are happening in Ghana. As always Im so thankful & blessed to be part of it. #ghana #lightforchildren #africa #westafrica #thelittlethings #joyousmoment #ABeautifulMessThis is my favorite image from @lovesakurabloom take by @letlovegrow. This is my favorite because baby wearing is for all ages and seeing Loves daughter snuggle and cuddle her sister makes my heart melt. It reminds me how all the children in Ghana carry their little brothers and sisters on their backs wherever they go. Love and her bunch sure know how to love endlessly and recklessly. Thanks for the opportunity to win a beautiful sling to carry my babies in Ghana with! #momsakurabloom [Mothers day IG contest]New blog post at together-we-are.com today (link on profile) about my thoughts on this Mothers Day. "I’m a “so-close-I-can-taste it”, “not-quite-yet”, “by-this-time-next-year” mother. My heart aches for my born and unborn children in Ghana and elsewhere. I hope they know how much their momma loves them and can’t wait to call them “hers” forever. I know deep in my heart that I won’t birth most of my kids; we won’t share DNA, we won’t share the same chins or long noses, we probably won’t even share the same skin or eye color, but this won’t make them any less “mine”. Biological or adopted, all will be my beautifully and wonderfully made children. My motherhood days are coming soon, I’m pretty darn sure of that. But until then I’m waiting patiently, pouring love into every child I encounter, and cherishing this season in my life." #ghana #africa #togetherweare #mothersday #mommasday #africaadoption #adoption #thankyoumothersFinishing some signs for a fun little photoshoot on Monday thatll announce some pretty big things happening in my life and work in Ghana. Eeekkkk! [Blog post out sometime next week!]Blown away and amazed how much has been raised since Jan 2013. Weve got a long way to reach $50k but we are well on our way. Each and everyday Im so so thankful for the donations, kind words, encouragement, emails, smiles, and hugs. The Education Center is being built brick by brick, with SO much hope and love by people all over the world. We are currently looking for people to hold fundraisers (anything from a bake sale to a birthday campaign) to help us reach $50k! Email me at kuntzr@gmail.com if you are interested!Today, I am thankful for authentic, family owned, Ghanaian restaurants in Chicago. Nothing makes my tummy happier than jollof, tilapia, and plantains. Tastes like home ☺ #ghana #africa #ghanafoodIf you want to be kept up to date about my life and work in Ghana you can now subscribe to my blog!
